1. Students will need a computer or other device (laptop, tablet, phone) with reliable internet connection and a modern web-browser (such Google, Safari, Bing, Edge) in order to access the courses. Students will also need working speakers and/or headphone to hear course audio. 
2. Contractors signing up for courses must sign up using their qualifier number
3. All courses credits are submitted into the NCLBGC database using the students qualifier #.  You can find your qualifier number by searching for it at: www.nclbgc.org
4. A certificate will be emailed to you upon completion of the course
5. All students must pass an "end-of-course test" (with 70% or better) before receiving the certificate for the class
6. Students will have 30 days to complete their course from the initial time of enrollment of each class
7. No purchases or enrollments will be accepted past the November 30th deadline for the year

                                        user name:  first name, last initial, qualifier number [all lowercase]

example: John Doe has a qualifier number of 10014. His user name would look like this:   johnd10014

After making a username you will be asked to make a password. While passwords may be reset, we do not have access to your password. Making passwords is the students responsibility.

If you are a general contractor in the state of North Carolina (or a valid qualifier) and you are looking for your qualifier number then you are in the right spot. The first thing we would like to point out is that your qualifier number is unique to you. A qualifier number will always be attached to an individual. Since it takes an actual person to pass the contractor's exam, the qualifier number can only be assigned to a person. Furthermore, when it comes to continuing education, it is the qualifier that takes the CE hours, and the qualifier that receives the credit for the classes. Therefore, it is important that all hours are entered into the database under someone's qualifier number and not their license number. Also, another thing that makes getting someone's qualifier number so important, is that (like a license number) it is a 5 digit number. And while a qualifier is always an actual person, sometimes our qualifier number may be the same as someone else's license number. So, it is important that we know how to find our qualifier number, and that we use this number to enroll in our continuing education credits. 

Now that we have the details out of the way, let's see how to get this number.

 If you are seeking out your qualifier number you will need to visit the Board's website at:

www.nclbgc.org          

Once you have found this webpage please scroll down to halfway down the page. At this point you should see a tab that says, "Search to Verify License"

Upon clicking on this link you should see the options to enter different pieces of information to perform a search. Choose any method you like, but we suggest either entering your name, or entering in the license number you are attached to. 

Once you enter your name you will see the information related to the search, appear. You will also see some numbers that are attached to these search results. These are your license number and your qualifier number. Your qualifier number is the one with the "Q" attached to it. But please be informed, your qualifier number will not actually consist of the letter "Q". Your qualifier number is only the 5 digits attached to this number.
